The 18-hectare gardens feature a rectangular pond, multiple water basins, and terraced sections planted with numerous exotic plant species throughout the valley.
Prince Peter Wolkonsky established the gardens in 1965, transforming an old farm into a manor house with reconstructed facades in 17th-century style.
The garden design combines English landscape principles with Italian formal elements, including a grotto decorated with shell figures and Chinese-inspired pagoda.
The gardens remain closed during winter season and will resume regular visits starting from April 2025, following specific maintenance schedules.
Christian Louboutin acquired these gardens in 2021, maintaining their legacy of rare botanical specimens collected over four decades by Prince Wolkonsky.
