This three-story residence features a distinctive facade with crenelated gables and corner turrets that frame the main structure of the building.
Built in 1493, the house takes its name from a 'IV de Chiffre' monogram carved between three first-floor windows, receiving historical monument status in 1927.
The IV de Chiffre symbol incorporated a stylized heart that medieval residents believed provided protection against the plague in this region.
The main entrance stands on a platform above the Sorgue River, with a spiral staircase extending from the ground floor to the roof.
The first-floor living room contains a monumental fireplace and a wooden ceiling supported by massive beams measuring 90 centimeters in thickness.
