Maison rurale de l'Outre-Forêt

The museum complex features multiple buildings arranged in a U-shape around a paved courtyard, displaying traditional Alsatian farm architecture and furnishings.

The main farmhouse, constructed in 1744, preserves the authentic living spaces of families who resided there until 1902, including original furniture and household items.

The center presents reconstructed workshops of traditional trades such as blacksmithing, wheelwrighting, and cooperage, demonstrating regional craftsmanship methods.

The museum welcomes visitors from Tuesday through Sunday between 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM during summer months, with reduced hours during winter season.

The museum contains a preserved smokehouse where visitors can learn about traditional meat preservation techniques used by Alsatian farmers in the early 20th century.
