The Museum of the Jacobins occupies a former convent building between the Gers River and Notre Dame Cathedral, featuring three exhibition levels and 20,000 artifacts.
Founded on December 16, 1793, the museum moved to its current location in 1979 after extensive renovations of the 15th-century Jacobin convent building.
The museum contains 8,000 pre-Columbian artworks from Mexico and Peru, making it the second largest collection of its type in France.
The museum operates daily from 10 AM to 12 PM and 2 PM to 6 PM, with regular admission at 4 euros and free entry for visitors under 18.
The museum displays 'La Messe de Saint-Gregoire' from 1539, which stands as the earliest preserved feather artwork in existence.
