The Opéra de Lille is an opera house in central Lille with a grand interior featuring a horseshoe-shaped auditorium that holds around 1,100 spectators. The building was designed by architect Louis Marie Cordonnier and replaced a theater destroyed by fire in 1903. It opened during World War I and became a cultural center for the city.
