The Parliament started in 1477 when Louis XI merged the council of Dijon, the Grands Jours de Beaune, and the appeals courts into one judicial institution.

The building contains notable chambers including the Salle des Pas Perdus, the Chambre Dorée, and the Salle des Assises, which represent French judicial traditions.

Guided tours lasting 1 hour and 45 minutes are available on specific Mondays throughout the year, with standard tickets priced at 12 euros.

The structure, designed by architect Hugues Sambin, received monument historique classé status on February 15, 1926, ensuring its preservation under French heritage laws.
