Pont de l'Artuby

The Pont de l'Artuby extends 142 meters across the Artuby River gorge, featuring a central arch span of 110 meters and rising 138 meters above the valley floor.

Construction of the bridge began in 1938 but faced interruption during World War II, leading to its completion and opening to traffic in 1946.

The bridge forms part of the Corniche Sublime route, connecting communities near the Verdon Gorge while providing access to regional outdoor activities.

Visitors can access designated viewing areas along the bridge structure to observe the surrounding valleys and mountains of the Provence region.

Engineers employed an innovative construction method using two 60-ton trussed segments that were vertically mounted and lowered into position above the gorge.
