The Ramières du Val de Drôme reserve extends across 371 hectares, encompassing 10 kilometers of the Drôme River with its natural braided channels.
Established in 1987, this reserve became one of twenty river bank nature reserves in France, protecting the last natural rivers in Europe.
The reserve houses La Gare des Ramières interpretation center, which educates visitors about local ecosystems through exhibitions and guided programs.
Visitors can access multiple trails for mountain biking, touring bikes, and hiking, with dedicated parking areas and picnic facilities throughout the reserve.
The protected area maintains 500 vertebrate species, including 20 beaver families, 100 butterfly species, and 50 dragonfly species in their natural habitat.
