Truc de Grèzes, Summit in Lozère, France.
The Truc de Grèzes rises to 1008 meters in elevation, featuring steep slopes and a distinctive trapezoidal shape overlooking the Jourdane Valley.
Archaeological excavations revealed Neolithic settlements on this mountain, which later became a major defensive site for the Gabales with a Gallic oppidum.
The mountain received its name Saint-Frézal after the 13th century in recognition of a bishop from the Gévaudan diocese.
The summit offers multiple hiking trails accessible during spring and autumn, requiring sturdy footwear due to the uneven terrain and steep inclines.
The geological formation consists of a Dogger limestone butte sitting atop Lias marls, creating a distinct landform in the regional landscape.
