Site médiéval du Vieux Bourg de L'Abergement-Clémenciat

The site is a medieval archaeological location in L'Abergement-Clémenciat featuring circular mounds, an adjacent platform, and a brick wall with a series of towers. The grounds contain defensive structures mixed with religious buildings and a cemetery from the medieval period.

The fortified settlement was first documented in the 14th century and the Chabeu family directed its construction. Their establishment of this defensive site near the parish center shows their influence in the region during the Middle Ages.
