The Zone de Loisirs de la Ramée is a large recreational complex centered around an artificial lake surrounded by forest and play areas. The grounds feature multiple sports facilities and activity zones designed for both water and land-based pursuits.
The site developed on former forest land called Laramet, which appeared on military maps between 1820 and 1866. The area was later extracted for gravel before being transformed into a recreational destination.
An Asian market sets the rhythm of weekend mornings here, operating in the southwest parking area on Saturday and Sunday. This regular gathering brings local flavors and community activity to the site.
The facility provides sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, and several ball sports spread across different zones. Visitors benefit from coming early or midday when spaces are less crowded and conditions are most favorable.
The artificial lake is fed by the Canal de Saint-Martory, maintaining stable water conditions year-round for water sports. This continuous water supply allows reliable activity scheduling regardless of season.
