Les terres de Nataé, Wildlife conservation park in Pont-Scorff, France
Les terres de Nataé is a wildlife park covering 14 hectares and housing more than 100 animal species from Africa, South America, Asia, and Europe. The grounds feature different habitat zones designed to replicate natural environments where animals live in spacious enclosures.
The park was established in 1973 and evolved from a conventional zoo into a conservation center focused on endangered species and environmental education. This shift reflects a growing worldwide emphasis on animal protection and teaching visitors about nature.
The park's name comes from Nataé, a Celtic goddess of nature protection, reflecting its connection to Breton heritage. Visitors can experience this cultural link through the way the grounds are designed and presented to honor this tradition.
The park operates daily and visitors can walk around on their own or join guided tours to learn more about the animals. Multiple dining areas and picnic spots are located throughout the grounds, and clearly marked paths make it easy to navigate.
A pair of red pandas arrived in 2023 and live in a specially designed forest habitat as part of an international conservation program. These rare animals attract visitors who want to learn about their behavior and the efforts to protect their species.
