Église Saint-Nicolas de Rethel, Gothic and Baroque church in Rethel, France.
The building features four naves and a 50-meter square tower with Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian architectural orders on different levels.
Built upon 7th-century remains, the current church dates from the 13th and 14th centuries and underwent reconstruction after both World Wars destructions.
The interior contains religious paintings, ancient sculptures, and the black stone recumbent statue of Thomas-Adolphe de Fuchsamberg in its permanent collection.
Visits take place at 1 Rue Étienne Dolet in Rethel, with enhanced access during European Heritage Days in September.
The crypt houses a collection of 16th and 17th-century statues and a baptismal font supported by three carved dolphins.
