Église Saint-Vincent de Rouen

Église Saint-Vincent is a church building in Rouen with original Gothic architectural elements, of which only fragments remain visible today. The southern entrance area and sections of the eastern wall display the characteristic design of this architectural period.

The church was founded in the middle of the 15th century and grew over the following decades with new sections and architectural additions. Its construction reflects different periods of the early modern era and shows how the city built and expanded its religious buildings.

The church served as a center for fine craftsmanship and displayed works by artisans whose skills were celebrated throughout the city. The quality of these pieces reflected the technical knowledge that made Rouen a destination for exceptional workmanship.

The remains are located on Rue des Charrettes in central Rouen and are easily reached on foot. The site is accessible outdoors, and visitors can view the preserved sections at any time from the surrounding area.

The polygonal entrance vestibule from the late 15th century survived wartime destruction nearly intact. This rare remnant shows visitors an architectural form that appears less commonly in other religious buildings around the city.
