Eglise Sainte-Foy

Eglise Sainte-Foy is a Gothic church in Conches-en-Ouche with a notable southern tower topped by a tall spire. The interior shows the craftsmanship of masons and carpenters who worked during the reconstruction period.

The church took shape during the 16th century in a major rebuilding campaign using late Gothic methods. This reconstruction followed a storm that damaged the original tower.

The stained glass windows from the mid-16th century show the skill of local craftspeople who created intricate colored patterns. These windows still influence how light moves through the interior today.

The location is easy to reach on foot in the town center. Visitors can access the church during services and on special days throughout the year when it opens for cultural events.

A striking tombstone from the 12th century sits within the church and tells of an earlier resident of the region. This old burial is one of the oldest surviving monuments from that period.
