Château d'eau du Lioran

The Lioran water tower features a cylindrical masonry structure with wooden cladding protecting a metal tank holding 100 cubic meters of water.

Built between 1898 and 1903 on the Figeac-Arvant line following Wilhelm Nördlinger's designs, this water reservoir gained historical monument status in 1991.

This structure exemplifies 19th-century railway engineering innovations and stands as the last intact water tower along this particular railway line.

Located at 7 Allée du Cheylat in Laveissière, the water tower includes both interior and exterior ladders providing access to the reservoir.

The tower base displays opus incertum masonry work, demonstrating construction techniques specific to the period of its creation.
