Built in the late 14th century, the fortress changed ownership through six families, starting with the Marchamp family in 1070 until Groupama acquired it in 1981.
The estate produces Beaujolais red wines and Morgon appellations from its 75-hectare vineyard, using Gamay Noir and Chardonnay grape varieties.
The castle operates as a luxury hotel with a restaurant, offering wine tastings, guided tours, and seminar facilities throughout the year.
The property includes the Tower of Tanay from 1030 and contains gardens allegedly designed by André Le Nôtre in the 17th century.
