The initial construction began in 1170, replacing a ninth-century chapel, with significant expansions completed during the sixteenth century.
The sixteenth-century stained glass windows depict scenes from the life of Saint Alpin, the eighth bishop of Châlons.
Visits are available Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with free entry scheduled between July and August 2024.
The interior houses a collection of ancient funeral slabs and a bishop's throne documented in the national Palissy database.
