Mini World Lyon, Miniature park in Carré de Soie, France
Mini World Lyon is a miniature park with detailed recreations of cities, mountains, and countryside scenes featuring thousands of lights and moving elements throughout. The spaces contain different zones that are all designed to work together as a single viewing experience.
The park opened on June 30, 2016, becoming France's largest animated miniature park at that time. The location was chosen to bring a major attraction to the area and draw visitors from across the region.
The exhibits represent five distinct miniature worlds showing city streets, mountain terrain, countryside villages, Lyon itself, and the Mediterranean coast. Each scene reflects how these places look and how people might move through them at different scales.
The park has wide walkways that are easy to navigate, and viewing platforms let you see all the scenes from different angles. Visitors should allow time to watch the moving elements and fine details, as there is always something new to observe.
Every 20 minutes, the entire park shifts from day to night, with thousands of lights turning on and hundreds of miniature vehicles moving across the landscapes. This rapid change shows how differently the scenes appear under different lighting conditions.
