The Saut du Bouchot waterfall drops 28 meters from a height of 482 meters above sea level along the Bouchot river in the Grand Est region.

The Bouchot river system has shaped the landscape over millennia, creating a network of tributaries including the ruisseau des Bas Rupts and ruisseau de Menaurupt.

The waterfall forms part of the Balcons du Mettey trail, which local residents and visitors use for outdoor recreation throughout the seasons.

Visitors can access the waterfall through a 50-meter walk from the parking area on Route du Bouchot, with swimming permitted in designated pool areas.

The watershed surrounding the waterfall receives exceptional precipitation levels, reaching 1,086 millimeters annually, supporting the continuous water flow.
