Saut du Bouchot

Saut du Bouchot is a waterfall in the Vosges that plunges 28 meters down along the Bouchot river in northeastern France. The water flows through a wooded valley and creates small pools at the base where it collects after the drop.

The Bouchot river has carved this landscape over thousands of years, creating the waterfall through continuous erosion. Over time, the flowing water has shaped the valley and formed the geology we see today.

A short walk of about 50 meters from the parking area on Route du Bouchot takes you directly to the waterfall. The ground can be slippery, especially after rain, so sturdy footwear is wise.

The area receives exceptional rainfall that keeps the waterfall flowing steadily throughout the year. This abundant water supply makes the site active and engaging even during drier seasons.
