The glassworks complex stands along the Canal de Saint-Quentin, featuring industrial buildings dedicated to glass production and manufacturing processes.
François Boulanger established the glassworks in 1818 on the former castle park grounds, utilizing four large furnaces for window glass and bottle production.
The facility maintains traditional glassmaking methods while producing bottles for perfumes, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical products through generations of skilled craftsmen.
The factory offers scheduled tours where visitors can observe the glass manufacturing process and learn about the technical aspects of production methods.
In 1994, Italian group Bormioli Rocco acquired the site, employing 500 workers before Austrian company Stölzle took ownership in 2014.
