Église Saint-Sulpice-et-Notre-Dame has a light beige plastered facade with a steep brown tiled roof, three tall arched windows above a projecting wooden porch, and a red side door. A Romanesque bell tower begun around 1130–1140 adjoins the former oratory, now the apse of the north aisle. The nave has three vessels of five bays without a transept, ending in a two-bay choir with a cul-de-four apse.

Around 1130-1140 the Romanesque bell tower was begun, attached to an earlier oratory linked by Gregory of Tours to Clovis, son of Chilperic I, killed on Fredegund's orders; that oratory now forms the apse of the north aisle. The nave and choir date from about 1245, and in 1484 the church was dedicated to Notre-Dame and Saint-Sulpice, opening a new building phase. On 13 December 1779 Alexandre de Beauharnais married Joséphine Tascher de la Pagerie here. It was listed as a monument historique in 1999.

The church is dedicated to both Notre-Dame and Saint-Sulpice, a double dedication recorded in 1484 as "A Nostre Dame et Saint-Soulpice". It was here, on 13 December 1779, that Alexandre de Beauharnais married Joséphine Tascher de la Pagerie, the future empress. The building stands on the Place de l'Église, near the site of the Merovingian royal residence known as the cour Chilpéric.

The church stands on place de l'Église, beside a paved square and an iron gate, with the entrance under a wooden porch on the main gable. The Romanesque bell tower, begun around 1130-1140, is attached to the north-aisle apse and remains visible from outside. The building was restored between 2011 and 2013, when the portal, vault and choir were reworked and new windows opened.
