Château de Bridiers, Medieval castle ruins in La Souterraine, France
The cylindrical keep measures 24 meters in height with 4-meter-thick walls at its base, standing above pentagonal fortification structures.
The castle's original tower collapsed in 1202, leading to construction of a new cylindrical keep at the start of the 13th century.
Local residents participate in annual historical performances during summer, presenting 25 scenes with light effects and large-scale projections.
The outer grounds are free to access throughout the year, while tower access requires a 2 euro entrance fee.
Six stone gargoyles were added to the keep's platform in 1655, marking the final major architectural addition to the structure.
