The castle consists of a main building with two lateral wings forming a courtyard, complemented by terraced galleries extending around the space.
The structure was built between 1746 and 1755 by architect Guillaume Rollin for the Marquis de Calvière on the site of a former convent.
The interior features rooms decorated with Persian tapestries and a gallery displaying Roman artifacts discovered in the surrounding area.
The château received official recognition as a historical monument in 1947, including its outbuildings, chapel, and surrounding structures.
The property contains a small theater from the Louis XV period that underwent substantial modifications in the early 1800s.
