The stone theatre measures 90 meters in diameter and includes architectural elements such as the cavea and vomitoria within its preserved structure.
The archaeological site, classified as a historical monument since May 2, 1912, stands along the Roman road connecting Mediolanum to Burdigala.
Archaeological excavations in 1999 revealed not only the theatre structure but also protohistoric elements including a temple and funeral trenches.
The theatre location on natural cretaceous rock formations influenced its architectural design and current orientation within the landscape.
The structure incorporates strategic engineering elements into the hillside terrain, utilizing natural acoustics for optimal sound projection during performances.
