The castle features a 15th-century tower and an 18th-century main building with an eastern facade displaying architectural elements from both periods.

Following a fire in 1719, Marshal Louis d'Argouges directed the reconstruction and expansion of the castle, transforming it into its current configuration.

The castle houses the most extensive prehistoric museum collection in the Orne department, presenting regional artifacts and archaeological findings.

Visitors can explore the castle grounds from Tuesday to Friday between 9:00 and 17:00, with guided tower tours available during summer months.

The castle tower contains markings that local stories associate with the footprint of a fairy, adding to the site's folklore.
