Hôtel Splendide is a former palace-hotel in Aix-les-Bains, built 1881–1883 to plans by architect Antoine Gouy. Its pale cream facade rises several storeys, with rows of balconies carrying dark metal railings and French doors behind, tall rectangular shuttered windows, and a rounded pediment crowning the left end of the roofline. Inside are frescoes by Clermont and Brosset.

The structure was built between 1881 and 1883 by architect Antoine Gouy as the first phase of the Royal-Splendide-Excelsior complex. This development marked a period of rapid growth in Aix-les-Bains as the town was establishing itself as a premier thermal resort destination.

The name "Splendide" was chosen for a palace-hotel in the Royal-Splendide-Excelsior trio, the resort complex that shaped Aix-les-Bains as a Belle Époque spa town. The building's frescoes are attributed to Clermont and Brosset. Since 1966–1967 it has housed apartments rather than guests, so the former grand interiors are now private living spaces.

The building now serves as private apartments, so interior visits are typically not permitted. However, you can appreciate the architectural details of the facade and overall structure from the outside, particularly the stonework and slate roof.

The 1987 heritage protection covers only parts of the building: the staircases, the lift shafts and the wrought-iron balustrade are classified, while the facades and roofs are inscribed. The interior frescoes are attributed to Clermont and Brosset. The building was sold in 1966-1967 and divided into apartments.
