Abbatiale Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul

The Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul church combines pre-Romanesque architecture in its nave with Gothic design elements in the choir section and ambulatory.

Founded in the 7th century by Saint Berchaire, the church received its official consecration in 998 and underwent major reconstructions in the 12th century.

The church contains 19th-century stained glass windows in its chapels, with additional modern pieces by Max Ingrand in the high choir windows.

The church remains open daily for visitors, offering guided tours upon request and self-guided visits at a cost of 5 euros per person.

The nave stands as one of France's oldest examples of pre-Romanesque architecture, marking the transition between Carolingian and Romanesque styles.
