Built in 1815 by Felix Cossin, a merchant and privateer shipowner from Nantes, the château replaced an earlier structure burned during the French Revolution.
The property includes a preserved 17th-century private chapel, dovecote, and hunting lodge, representing architectural elements from different historical periods.
Located near Nantes, the five-star hotel provides accommodation, dining at La Table du Marquis restaurant, and wellness treatments at the Cinq Mondes spa.
The château served as a sanatorium from 1938 to 1972 before becoming a rehabilitation center and later transforming into the first five-star hotel in Nantes area.
