Basilique Notre-Dame du Sacré-Coeur d'Issoudun

The Basilique Notre-Dame du Sacré-Coeur d'Issoudun is a church in the French town of Issoudun built in the neo-gothic style with a thoughtful interior layout. The building features a five-sided choir, side chapels, and a surrounding ambulatory that together create spacious areas for worshippers.

The building was constructed between 1857 and 1864 under the direction of Father Jules Chevalier to accommodate a growing community. Pope Pius IX granted the structure minor basilica status in 1874, recognizing its importance as a place of worship.
