Abbatial church of Saint-Antoine-l'Abbaye

The abbatial church features pointed arches, ribbed vaults, and flying buttresses, with a semicircular lower chevet and five-sided upper apse.

Construction of the Gothic church started in 1280 and continued for two centuries, with architect Jean Robert supervising works from 1419 onwards.

The church contains a collection of 380 religious objects in its sacristy, including medieval surgical instruments used by the Antonine religious order.

The church obtained classification as a historical monument in 1840 through Prosper Mérimée and remains open for visitors throughout the year.

The flamboyant facade includes three portals topped by a balustrade, with designs inspired by the Saint-Maurice cathedral in Vienne.
