Jardin des Fontaines Pétrifiantes

The Jardin des Fontaines Pétrifiantes extends across one hectare of land, featuring over 800 species of flowers, pools, and natural waterfalls throughout the landscape.

The garden opened in 1994 after brothers Gilbert and Robert Jean transformed an industrial wasteland into a structured garden with natural springs and botanical collections.

The garden represents different horticultural styles, including English gardens and contemporary designs, while maintaining membership in the Association Parcs et Jardins de Rhône-Alpes.

The garden operates from May to October, with adult admission ranging from 10.50 to 11.50 euros, offering guided tours that typically last 90 minutes.

Natural calciferous springs create tufa formations through a petrification process, where water deposits calcite crystals on objects and plants, transforming them into stone.
