Chapelle Notre-Dame-des-Grâces de Plougonvelin

Chapelle Notre-Dame-des-Graces in Plougonvelin is a simple building with a rectangular plan and flat chevet. A stone bell tower built into the wall holds a small belfry for calling worshippers.

This building started as a parish church but underwent major rebuilding in 1861. A 14th-century door on the north side survived these changes and marks an earlier phase of construction.

The interior holds colorful statues from the 17th century showing Saint Anne and other religious figures that visitors can observe. These works shaped how people practiced their faith in this space over the centuries.

You can walk to this chapel using a stone path from the main road nearby. Parking is available next to the neighboring Saint-Mathieu Abbey for convenience.

Inside you can find a carved work bench from the 17th century that likely came from the neighboring abbey. This piece of furniture offers a rare window into the craftsmanship of that era.
