Kisapuiston jäähalli is a modern indoor ice rink with a playing surface of 60 by 28.5 meters and seating and standing areas for around 4,800 spectators. The facility includes nine private suites and hosts ice hockey, figure skating, and synchronized skating events.
The rink opened in 1972 and replaced an outdoor artificial ice surface that had operated since 1963. It was Finland's fifth constructed artificial ice rink, marking an important step in the development of modern winter sports facilities.
The facility hosts the SaiPa hockey team and various figure skating clubs that train and compete here regularly. It plays an important role in the winter sports culture of the city and draws enthusiasts from across the region.
