Thunderbird, Wooden roller coaster in PowerPark, Kauhava, Finland
The wooden roller coaster stretches 826.9 meters in length, reaching heights of 25 meters and speeds of 77.2 kilometers per hour during its course.
Opening in April 2006, Thunderbird marked the first European roller coaster constructed by Great Coasters International, setting a milestone in amusement park development.
Finnish carpenters demonstrated exceptional craftsmanship during construction, utilizing 1,000 cubic meters of wood, 750,000 bolts, and 1.8 million nails.
The roller coaster requires riders to measure at least 130 centimeters in height and operates two trains with 12 cars each, accommodating 24 passengers per journey.
Situated at 63 degrees north latitude, this installation maintains the distinction of being the northernmost wooden roller coaster in the world.
