Old Rauma

Old Rauma is a historic wooden residential neighborhood in Rauma, Finland, containing over 600 buildings across roughly 29 hectares. The streets are lined with low-rise structures that create a cohesive streetscape, with buildings dating primarily from the 18th century onward.

A major fire in 1682 destroyed the settlement, but rebuilding followed a new street plan that established the layout visible today. Buildings rose gradually over the following centuries, with most structures dating from the 18th century onward.
