Säynätsalo Town Hall

The red brick building features four two-story wings arranged around an elevated central courtyard, with a tower-like council chamber rising above the complex.

Architect Alvar Aalto won the design competition in 1949 with an entry named 'Curia', leading to the construction of this municipal center between 1949 and 1952.
