The Turku Synagogue features a two-story structure with a yellow-brick facade and a central domed cupola at Brahenkatu 17 in District VII.
The synagogue, completed in 1912 by architects August Krook and Johan Eskil Hindersson, opened before Finland granted citizenship rights to Jewish residents.
Following Ashkenazi traditions, this religious center stands as one of only two synagogues in Finland, serving the Jewish community of Turku.
The synagogue maintains regular Sabbath services and houses a community center from 1956, offering space for religious gatherings and cultural events.
The building combines Art Nouveau with Byzantine Revival elements, protected under Finnish architectural heritage laws as a national cultural landmark.
