Kytäjä Manor, Manor estate in Kytäjä, Hyvinkää, Finland.
Kytäjä Manor is a manor estate in Hyvinkää municipality in southern Finland, set within extensive forested grounds beside Lake Kytäjärvi. The white-painted main building displays typical Nordic design elements with timber cladding and symmetrical rows of windows.
The manor was established in 1878 and developed into the largest private agricultural operation in the Nordic region by the close of the 19th century. The complex underwent several expansions, including the addition of the estate church in 1939.
The estate includes a church created in 1939 following designs by the then owner Väinö Vähäkallio, reflecting Finnish timber construction methods. Visitors can step inside to see the simple wooden pews and restrained interior that emphasizes natural materials.
The property sits roughly 15 kilometers west of Hyvinkää town center and can be reached via local roads. Several outbuildings now provide lodging options and event spaces for private celebrations.
The original stable buildings of the property have been preserved and converted into modern event facilities. The timber beams and stone walls from the 19th century now form the setting for banquets and conferences.
