Kokkolan jäähalli, Indoor sports arena in Kokkola, Finland
Kokkolan jäähalli is an indoor sports venue in Kokkola featuring a 28 by 58 meter ice rink with a 9-meter ceiling. The facility seats up to 5220 spectators and includes spaces for boxing and gymnastics training.
The ice hall opened in 1988 and represented a major expansion of winter sports facilities for Kokkola at that time. Since then it has grown into an important sports center for the municipality.
The ice hall is a gathering place for ice hockey matches and supports winter sports development in the community. Many young athletes train here regularly and take part in competitions.
The venue is open daily from August to May between 7 AM and 11 PM with public skating sessions available. Visitors should check ahead to see which activities are offered on their planned visit day.
Alongside the ice rink, the building houses an air gun range and a tatami area for martial arts training. This combination of different sports under one roof creates an unusual multipurpose complex.
