The Lepikon torppa, constructed in the 1860s, gained national recognition as the birthplace of Urho Kekkonen, who served as Finland's president from 1956 to 1982.
The museum collection includes regional artifacts from Pielavesi, such as the baptismal bowl used for Urho Kekkonen and textiles made by his mother.
Visitors can explore the museum from June through September, with admission prices of 5 euros for adults and 3 euros for children, students, and seniors.
The museum foundation maintains the building in its 1905 condition, when the Kekkonen family resided there, following specifications from the National Museum of Finland.
