Our Lady of Angels

The monastery cemetery contains graves of numerous ship captains from the region, representing the strong connection between maritime heritage and religious life.

Visitors can reach the monastery through marked pathways and observe religious ceremonies that take place regularly in the church with its bell tower.

Ships passing beneath the monastery traditionally sound their horns three times, and the Franciscan monks respond by ringing the church bells.
