Baredine Cave

The cave extends 150 meters through five decorated chambers, featuring natural limestone formations and an underground lake 60 meters below ground level.

Members of the Poreč Caving Club Proteus discovered a passage to underground lakes in 1973, leading to the cave's total depth exploration.

The cave's name originates from local dialect word 'bared', referring to untreated land in the surrounding terrain of Istrian countryside.

Tours occur every 30 minutes with multilingual guides, maintaining a constant temperature of 14°C throughout all seasons of the year.

The cave houses a population of cave olms, rare amphibian species native to the underground waters of southeastern European karst regions.
