Festetics Palace, Dég

Festetics Palace is a neoclassical mansion in Dég with two symmetrical porticoes that stands within a large English garden. The grounds are crossed by three brooks and contain a long fishing lake that runs through the property.

The palace was designed by architect Mihály Pollack in 1802 for the Festetics family, establishing their noble branch in this town. This construction marked an important period for the family as they expanded their influence in the region.
