Kinizsi Castle, Medieval castle ruins in Nagyvázsony, Hungary.

The castle features high stone walls, defensive towers, and a central courtyard positioned on a strategic hilltop overlooking the surrounding Transdanubian region.

Built in the early 1400s by László Vezsenyi, the fortress gained prominence under Pál Kinizsi who acquired it in 1472 and enhanced its military capabilities.

The castle holds regular exhibitions displaying medieval weapons, armor, and artifacts that represent Hungarian military history from the 15th century.

The castle remains open to visitors from Monday through Friday between 9:00 and 17:00, with guided tours available in multiple languages.

The castle's stone walls contain hidden passages and underground chambers that served as storage spaces during conflicts with Ottoman forces.
