Park Adamit, Nature reserve and park in Northern District, Israel
Park Adamit is a nature reserve and park in the Upper Galilee with a scenic one-way road that loops around the archaeological site of Khirbet Idmit. The route connects several viewpoints and allows visitors to explore the rolling terrain and geological features of the region.
The site contains archaeological remains from an ancient settlement of the Second Temple period, still visible near the modern park. These traces suggest the area has been a place of habitation since biblical times.
The Terrace path guides visitors to Me'arat HaKeshet, a geological formation where the cave ceiling has naturally collapsed over time.
The park is accessible via Route 8993 about four kilometers east of Shlomi and has parking areas at the hilltop location. Wear comfortable shoes as the loop road and walking paths involve changes in elevation.
From the Amir lookout point in the park, visitors can see three geographical features at once: the Mediterranean Sea, the Galilee mountains, and the Lebanon border. This location offers a rare view of multiple important landscapes in the region from one spot.
