Bahuti Falls

Bahuti Falls plunges approximately 200 meters (650 feet) over multiple natural rock ledges within the forested landscape of Madhya Pradesh. The water tumbles through successive cascades, creating a layered flow pattern surrounded by dense vegetation.

The site became known to visitors only recently after Mauganj was established as an independent district in 2023. This administrative change brought increased attention and improved infrastructure to the location.

The waterfall serves as a gathering place where people come together during the rainy months to spend time with family and friends in nature. Local visitors often use the site for informal celebrations and picnics amid the flowing water.

Visit during the monsoon months from July through September when water flow is strongest and most visible. The paths become slippery during this wet season, so wear sturdy shoes and move carefully along the approach.

The falls create their own microclimate with distinct moisture and temperature conditions that support rare plant species found nowhere else nearby. Birdwatchers can spot numerous species that thrive only in these specific conditions.
