Vidyasagar Bridge, Bridge in Kolkata, India
Vidyasagar Setu, also known as the Second Hooghly Bridge, is a toll bridge over the Hooghly River.
Inaugurated on October 10, 1992, it is named after the educationist reformer Pandit Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar.
The bridge symbolizes the blend of old and new Kolkata, connecting the city to Howrah.
It is one of the longest cable-stayed bridges in Asia, facilitating transportation and trade.
The bridge's design allows it to withstand winds of up to 200 km/h.
