Saddle Peak National Park

Saddle Peak National Park encompasses 85 square kilometers of tropical rainforest with ten perennial streams and 132 seasonal water channels throughout the protected area.

The national park, designated in 1979, preserves the natural environment surrounding Saddle Peak, which stands as the highest elevation point in the Andaman Islands at 732 meters.

The conservation area maintains essential habitats for the Andaman hill myna and numerous endemic species that represent the biodiversity of the Andaman archipelago.

Visitors can access the park daily from 4 AM to 5 PM, with entrance fees set at 25 rupees for Indian nationals and 50 rupees for international guests.

The park features an eight-kilometer hiking trail leading to the summit, where visitors can observe the dense forest canopy and coastal landscapes below.
