Gol Gumbaz, Mausoleum in India
Gol Gumbaz is a mausoleum located in Vijayapura, Karnataka, India.
Built in 1656 by the Mughal emperor Muhammad Adil Shah, it's one of the largest dome structures in the world.
The structure is known for its whispering gallery, where even the softest sound can be heard on the other side of the mausoleum due to the acoustics of the dome.
It's open from sunrise to sunset and has an entry fee for visitors.
The dome of Gol Gumbaz is unsupported by pillars, making it one of the largest domes in the world to be supported without pillars.
